I had the opportunity to attend the Conference on Diversity in Engineering held in Montreal. The event took place from the 18th to the 20th of November, but I was there only on the 19th! It is my experience on Saturday that I’ll write about in this article!
I was only there on the 19th because the ticket was provided to my student club Les Ingénieuses. We decided to give as many members as possible the chance to attend the conference, so we exchanged the ticket.
WordCamp Montreal is an event that I really wanted to attend since last year. Finally, I has the the opportunity to participate on 23 and 24 July. It was my first WordCamp! I had the chance to attend many conferences. Congratulations to all the speakers, I am sure, have worked very hard to produce these beautiful presentations!
Therefore, I had great difficulty choosing what to attend presentations. At least, all presentations are filmed and will be available in a few weeks / months on WordPress.tv. Each presentation lasted about 45 minutes for questions.
Last Saturday, I attended to the first Women Techmakers (WTM) event in Montreal. This event is organized for the International Women Day (March 8th). WTM was founded in 2012 and is a program created by Google to offer visibility, community, and resources to women in tech.
The opening ceremony was very great and they showed us this great video:
