Are you active on Facebook groups? If you answer yes to this question, you must read this article to the end. It’s an order! I’ll give you five ways to promote your blog on your FB profile. It takes 10 minutes to do, and it could bring you many visitors!
When I am on a Facebook group, and I see people commenting about their blog, I regularly want to go and read it. By cons, in 75% of the cases, their blog can not be found on their Facebook profile! It is written nowhere!
I can’t take the time to ask all those who makes me curious what the address of their blog is. I would waste a lot of time. So, I move on! Unfortunately, I could have fallen in love with this blog … Opportunity missed!
Show your blog on your Facebook profile
As you can see on the picture below, there are 4 places on the computer where it is easy to promote your blog. You can choose what you like best, or do as I do and put it everywhere! 😉
There is a fifth place that you can use to promote your blog and social networks on mobile only, and I will show you how to have this at the end of this article!
Intro and featured image
- Go to your Facebook profile
- Click on « Edit profile » on your cover photo
- In the window that appears, you can directly add your intro and your featured image (which would be your logo).
- Once done, save the two sections separately by clicking on the blue “Save” button!

Work section
- Go to your FB profile, and click on “Edit profile” on your cover photo.
- In the window that opens, click on “Add a workspace”
- You will be redirected to another page, where you will need to click on “Add a workplace” again.
- Fill the information asked as if it was for a job
- Company: enter the name of your Facebook Page, it should be suggested and select it. If you just enter plain text, it won’t be clickable and won’t bring people directly to your page, which is what we want to do. If your Facebook page doesn’t appear, you can try this.
- Position: use what you want! I wrote “owner”
- City, Description: the name of the fields is pretty clear!
- Then, enter the date of when you created your blog, check the box that says you still work there.
- Before saving your changes, click on the icon where it’s written “Friends” for me and click on “Public” so everyone can see it.
- Click on save!
Show the pages you manage
This is a new option on Facebook; it might still be rolling out so you might not be able to do it just yet!
- Go to your Facebook profile
- In your information in the left sidebar, there should be a link that says “Show the pages you manage” Click on it!
- In the pop-up, select the pages you wish to show on your profile.
- Now, click on the Save button. Make sure your changes are shown to the “Public” like it is in the previous screenshot
Show your blog and social media on mobile
- Go to your Facebook profile
- Click on the “About” tab
- On the left-hand side, click on “Contact and Basic info”
- To add the address of your website, click on “+ Add a website”. Make sure it’s in Public mode.
- To add social media, click on « + Add another social link »
- Add as many social links as you want, like this :
- Make sure that these links are visible to everyone so that the confidentiality option is “Public.”
- Click on save, and you’re done!

How to check if your changes are visible to everyone
You’ve just made changes to your Facebook profile to promote on your blog, but are these changes actually visible to everyone, especially those not in your Facebook friends ?! It’s time to check!
- Go to your Facebook profile, again!
- Click on “…” then “View as…”
- That’s it! You see your profile as if you were a complete stranger.
Check if all your changes are visible: your intro, your work, the Facebook page you manage, and your featured image.- If so, then you’re done!
- If not, then go back to these changes and make sure they are in “Public” mode.
Conclusion
And that’s all! I hope this article helped you! Don’t hesitate if you have any questions; it will be my pleasure to help you.

Girl power:) Those are some nice tips! Thanks, girl:) I won’t use them though, because I don’t really want to incorporate my blog like that – but that’s just a personal preference:)

Let me know, I would be happy to help 🙂

I needed this! I didn’t know how to add any of it beyond the Work info. Thanks so much for sharing!
